Sir Rod Stewart has canceled the remainder of his upcoming tour dates after undergoing a routine heart procedure, his representatives confirmed Tuesday.

The 81-year-old legendary rocker successfully underwent a routine coronary stent procedure. According to a statement released by his publicist, doctors are pleased with his recovery, and Stewart has already returned to his normal daily activities. However, medical professionals advised him to take the next four weeks off to fully recuperate and regain fitness before returning to live performances.

The decision impacts remaining dates on his “One Last Time” farewell tour through early September, which included stops in Cleveland, Kansas City, and a six-night residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Promoters and venues will issue information directly to ticket holders regarding affected performances.

In a personal message to fans, Stewart expressed gratitude for his care team and apologized for the last-minute cancellations. “I’m already feeling better and very much on the mend,” Stewart said. “I’m deeply disappointed to miss these shows and sorry to let my fans down, but I look forward to getting back on stage and having a good time with you all again soon.”
