A major emergency response is underway in downtown Minneapolis following a shooting that left multiple people injured, including two police officers.
Local law enforcement and city officials confirmed that officers responded to an active incident late Wednesday, where gunfire erupted and hit several individuals. Both injured officers were transported to a nearby medical center for treatment, though their immediate conditions have not yet been released.
Authorities confirmed that the primary suspect involved in the gunfire is down. A large police presence remains at the scene as investigators work to secure the perimeter and reconstruct the sequence of events leading up to the violence.
