Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu officially rejected the Board of Peace’s 15-point proposal for Gaza’s reconstruction during a cabinet meeting. Netanyahu declared that the Israeli Defense Forces will not execute any military withdrawal from current positions until Hamas is fully and genuinely disarmed.
Addressing the proposal put forward by the U.S.-backed initiative, Netanyahu emphasized that disarmament must cover all weaponry, ranging from heavy arms to smaller equipment. He reiterated his firm opposition to the establishment of a Palestinian state in Gaza or the West Bank under any administration, asserting that Israel will stand its ground against framework conditions it finds unacceptable. Meanwhile, senior Hamas officials stated that they remain committed to the roadmap brokered in Cairo and called on international mediators and the U.S. to press Israel to adhere to the transition framework.
