President Donald Trump was photographed Wednesday night aboard Air Force One examining a large placard that appeared to reference the demolition of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

The image, captured through an aircraft window as the plane landed at Joint Base Andrews, shows the president studying a printed board displaying the words “Kennedy Center DEMOLITION”. The photograph surfaced shortly after Trump told reporters that without his administration’s involvement and funding, the landmark venue would “end up being ripped down”.

The development follows a federal court ruling earlier this week that blocked the Trump-aligned Kennedy Center board from adding the president’s name to the building, determining that any structural name changes require congressional approval. In response to the legal setback, the board voted to shut down most of the facility for multi-year renovations, triggering additional legal filings and oversight requests from lawmakers.
